How is your Monday?
I am having a dandy one thank you very much!
We haven't done much of anything but we are all together (thanks to the rain).
This weekend was a weekend that we:
1. Stayed home all together....actually no, that is a lie, Gia took Cam and Charlie over the Irvine Fine Art Center to work on some magnets on her art display there...will have to get over there to see their projects!
2. Went to Home Depot 3 times.....again, an outing! :) But other than that we stayed home.
3. Watched every football game.
4. Loved that the Giants pulled off another win!
5. Made big meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
6. Snuggled up by the fire and let Indy snuggle with us in the family room since we spent most of our time in there.
7. Got our game plan for a few home improvements. Right now Mannie is working on a gate for my scraproom since my crafty dog can't seem to stay out of here!
8. Got Cara a recorder and have listened to "Mary Had a Little Lamb" at least 50 times....she has mastered it btw! ;)
9. Watched the Golden Globes....personally, I thought it was sort of a snoozer. I guess Mannie watched UCLA and SC play but I missed that one.
10. Hoping for a repeat of this weekend.....NEXT weekend!
Staying home is the best sometimes, isn't it? It was so needed. I have mentioned the unorganized clutter here and we at least got started on tackling some of it.
Little things on the list include:
1.Adding a shelf and reorganizing the spice cabinet!
reorganizing bathroom cabinets
continue with "Master bedroom revamp"
a little more Indy proofing.
Next weekend I am hoping to paint furniture in bedroom....and clean out our closets! (this one has been on my list for years!)
Big projects for the future.....new flooring downstairs so we can get rid of most of the gates. I can't tell you how much of a pain it is to constantly climb over the barracades we have up to keep Indy contained. If everything is hardwood flooring then that illiminates the barracades. This will take place within the next 6 months we think.....can't come soon enough!
So, today the kids decided that they wanted to make a jungle mural. They still have good memories of making a rainforest one years ago! So my little troop has been working away in the playroom!
I am making bbq chicken tacos for dinner! Doesn't that sound so good? I can't wait for dinner!
Oh and btw, just in case you were wondering.....I have only done 2 days of the workout dvd!! BUt I am hoping to get moving on it this week! :)Mannie is threatening to cancel the whole camera deal so I better get moving! I can't let him win!!! ;) I guess I have to move the date up past Easter a bit!
See ya later alligators!
